GEON CONSULTING takes a multi-disciplinary approach and provides complete range of services from concept development to designing of the Biomass based co-generation projects. Below given are the exact details of the services made by us: 

1.     PREPARATION OF DATA BASE ON AVAILABLE SURPLUS BIOMASS AT SITE
We prepare Feasibility for the biomass which will include technical and financial aspects. Suggestions for organizational structure and mechanism to ensure long term, assured and sustainable supply of biomass for the project.

2.     DESIGN AND SELECTION OF A BOILER SYSTEM AND STEAM TURBINE GENERATOR FOR THE COGENERATION APPLICATION
Complete analysis of the system requirement will be carried out for meeting the energy requirement of the proposed plant.  A co-generation system will be designed to meet the following requirements of steam, at one or more pressure/temperature levels, the electric load to be driven, Power and steam demand variations and essentiality of steam for process, etc. An economically viable commercial system will be selected to meet the requirement. 

3.     COMPLETE ANALYSIS AND FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE PLANT
Study of the complete financial feasibility of the projects which includes: Study of the complete civil and equipment costing of the projects based of the available DPRs or data, Determination of the running costs of the project, evaluation of the financial feasibility of the projects based on freshly determined data.

Determination of the present status of the various clearances required from the Govt. and to exactly determine the legal and statutory status of the projects. 

4.     DETAILED PROJECT REPORT
A detailed report will be prepared containing following details on the project:  General information, Promoters details, Particulars of the Industrial concern, proposed capacity of the plant, details of technical process, Technical Arrangements, Management: Executive management; proposed organization chart, Location and Land, Buildings, Plant and Machinery, Utilities, Labour, Cost of Project, Means of Financing and Profitability and Cash Flow. 

5.     OBTAINING ALL CLEARANCES INCLUDING SUBSIDY
We work to get the complete clearances in discussions with the client. Also all necessary documentation will be done for clearances/approvals necessary for the project and all other applications, write-ups, clarifications etc., required by various authorities, at various stages of the project. 

6.     POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT
We can identify potential customers and obtain short term / long term Power purchase Agreements, wheeling arrangements. We facilitate investors to enter into MoU / PPA.

7.     FINANCIAL CLOSURE 
We work and plan meticulously every detail in financial structure including, investor and capital sourcing, debt financing and equity financing, equipment financing, etc. We work to suggest the most appropriate financial structure and matching financial institutions / agencies. We prepare the applications for debt financing, including preparation / review of responses to queries of financial institutions, preparation and conclusion of preliminary term sheet, appraisal formalities, negotiation of terms and conditions of pre-commitment and sanction, review of common loan and securitization agreement and fulfilment of pre-disbursement conditions.

8.     BASIC KNOW-HOW AND DETAILED ENGINEERING & DESIGNING SERVICE
We manage basic development of P & I diagrams, plant layouts, equipment sizing, hazard studies and optimization. We supply Basic Engineering, know-how and Plant and machinery by following: Process Engineering, mechanical engineering, Architecture, civil and structural engineering, Utilities engineering, Electrical engineering, Instrumentation engineering, piping engineering services, etc.  

9.     CIVIL CONSTRUCTION AND PLANT AND MACHINERY SUPPLY AND ERECTION
With emphasis laid on single point responsibility the company uses modern techniques for total construction management including selection of contractors, material used and handling, store management, supervision and monitoring of site progress till mechanical completion and pre‚Äźcommissioning checks. 

SCOPE OF MACHINERY SUPPLY AND ERECTION: 
Boiler, Steam Turbine, Generator & Auxiliaries, Governor & Auxiliaries, SCADA & Automation, Control & Protection System, Switchgear, Transformers & Switchyard, Mechanical & Electrical Balance of Plant, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Fire Fighting and other electro Mechanical Equipment 

10.     CARBON CREDITS (CDM) CONSULTING: 
We get approval (validation) of the project and work up to selling of the credits.

CASE STUDIES

1.     M/s. Industrial Progressive India Ltd. (IPIL), Palwal, Haryana has planned to set up Biomass based Co-Generation Plant. Geon consulting worked on the development and design of the project. IPIL has planned to set up one large 20 TPH capacity boiler. They have also planned to set up Generator of 900 kW capacity. The plant is in rural area. The power produced and the process steam is to be used in the dairy plant. The total finance expenditure for the project will be Rs. 350.00 Lakh consisting primarily of capital expenditure. Geon Consulting also has to get approval from Ministry of New and Renewable Energy MNRE (Govt. of India) for the subsidy for the project.

PAPERS AND REPORTS
Economics of Cogeneration in Milk Plant for Enhanced Energy Efficiency and Reduced GHG Emissions
The importance of energy as vital element in economic development as well as in any strategy for improving the living standard of human beings is well established. Cogeneration also called combined heat and power (CHP) system is an efficient way of energy production & utilization, which simultaneously produce heat & electricity. These are designed and can be installed in industrial, institutional or residential premises to supply all heating & electricity demands of a facility and increase the economic profitability of existing facility. Use of biomass as boiler fuel generates clean energy, steam and electricity and further contributes towards sustainable development by optimizing utilization of renewable energy source & lowering the carbon footprint. 

In this paper, carbon mitigation potential and financial benefit of cogeneration systems has been studied in comparison to conventional system of individual generation system of steam, electricity. Proposed model has been employed in a milk processing industries situated in Patiala district of Punjab state in India (Milkfood Limited). Considering the electricity and heat demand of the milk processing plant and characteristics of existing system; optimum cogeneration capacity and operation strategy has been defined.

NEWS UPDATE
M/s. Bhatinda Ceramics Pvt. Ltd., Bhatinda (Punjab) gave a contract to Geon Consulting for work on a development and design of a 2500 CUM capacity Biogas plant with 250 kW power generation capacity. Geon Consulting prepared a detailed project report and design for the project.

Geon Consulting signed a contract to conduct Investment Grade Energy Audit with Spark Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

VCS validation of the project activity entitled Biomass based Steam Generation Plant of M/s. Chanakya Dairy Products Limited (CDPL) has been completed. Final validation documents of the project activity have been released by M/s. URS Verification Pvt. Ltd.

M/s. Kang Dairy Farm, Punjab has given a contract to Geon Consulting for work on a development and design of a 500 CUM capacity Compressed Biogas plant capacity. Geon Consulting has to prepare a Detailed Project Report and Design the plant. Geon Consulting has also to obtain statuary approvals for the project.
